Henrik Otto, Head of Global Design for Electrolux Group, will be in Singapore this Friday, 22 February, to formally kick off Electrolux Design Lab 2008, the 6th edition of the company’s annual design competition that invites industrial design students around the world to create home appliances. This year’s competition theme is Designs for Generation @, also known as the Internet generation. The deadline is 4 May, with a limited number of entries scheduled to compete in Zurich at the international finals in October.
In 2005, Electrolux awarded its Design Lab Award to two NUS students from Singapore out of more than 3,000 students on all continents.
