spring cleaning

as the end of the year approaches, ive decided to do a lil spring cleaning, clearing my stuff (as my old home has just been sold) and also cleaning up the dust and grime that has accumulated over time on my stuff.

you have no idea how tiring it is to clean and wash cosmetic stuff. but well, using dirty cosmetics is a big no-no, hence:

i cant wait for christmas to put on my glittery polish.

i was right

warren buffett is indeed the financial GURU of our times >

Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in America! He’ll now need to settle for the #2 position on the Forbes magazine richest person list.

Forbes was forced to recalculate and reorder its list of the richest 400 Americans destined for the October 27th issue because of all the crazy stuff that happened in the financial markets these last two and a half months.

According to Bloomberg, Gates has lost $1.5 BILLION dollars in that period.

His new net worth is (a not too paltry) $55.5 billion.

The Wizard of Omaha, Warren Buffett is now #1. He is worth $58 billion.

By some miracle, Warren’s net worth has actually gone UP by about $8 billion in the last few months!!!!!!!!!

That fucker!

Buffet (who is also an Obama supporter) is hailed as a stock picking genius as he turned $9,800 saved from delivering papers into a multi-billion dollar empire.

In the most recent presidential debate, both Obama and McCain said Mr. Buffet may be the brain who can help lead the U.S. out of economic crisis.

Grow a brain

when it comes to email communication, you need to look for 2 things that make communication a useful, effective and pleasant experience for both parties.

first of all, analyze and THINK before you make a response. i mean, that’s why your brain is there for, to think, right? when i say think and analyze, use your common sense and maybe some intelligence (if it exists for you) to interpret. for instance, when a request is written on a specific date, OBVIOUSLY it takes effect from that day it is written, right?? why would anyone want to write a request IN ADVANCE? anyone with some smarts would understand that a request written NOW is to request for something NOW.

and secondly, respond efficiently. cuz for the LOVE OF GOD, do not ever tell me you cant come to a decision in time if you choose to take your own sweet time to open your mailbox and read your mails, because that is your problem and not mine. Emails are sent in a split second. especially text-only emails. and when you can receive emails on your mobile, it is more a no-excuse to not be able to respond in a reasonable amount of time if not immediately. and so, i don’t see why my plans should get delayed just because you are not efficient enough. and seriously, tell me what you need RIGHT FROM THE START because it saves us all A LOT of time and keeps plans going ON TIME. cuz i truly do not see the point on why again, yes im repeating, should my plans be delayed indefinitely because you keep asking me for extra information (that you could have asked from the start) when i already gave you the information that you asked for! it does come to a point that i start to suspect if you are actually INTENTIONALLY delaying my plans.

effective communication no matter face-to-face, over the phone or trans-continental can be easily achieved if one party doesn’t aim to screw it up. it doesn’t have to be a split-second or immediate response. it should be straight-to-the-point, decisive, CLEAR and just efficient.

JEEZ.

efficiency is clearly something that is missing big time over here. it is no wonder that turnover rate is high. it will just continue to be a vicious cycle if people are hired based on personal preferences and close relationships, and not based on their competency and capability. it might just be the corrosion agent to a strong foundation of an organization.

i do admire my patience at times.

holding on to my brain,
