oh my god.

ive got an idiot for a colleague
who cant differentiate a printer from a scanner
nor it from a copier

twice she asked
can this scan?
can this copy?
pointing to the canon inkjet
a printer it is,
very obviously

she cant get the scanner to scan
so it “doesnt work”
as she claimed

mirror mirror on the wall
who is the idiot-est of them all?
i cant stand it anymore

your job is to source and call
mine to design for all
so y r u askin me
to do your job for u?

y not ask me
would you like my pay as well?

i wouldnt mind it
if i had nothing much to do
but when im up to here with work
and u r askin me to do your job
thats when i think u need
to get your head inspected

mirror mirror on the wall
who is the idiot-est of them all?
i cant stand it anymore

and last of all
do not order me
cos u r not the boss of me
and you’ll never be

so pull your socks
and dye your hair brown
cos it looks like
your hair is blonde

in other words
u r totally undeserving
of the position u r currently in
and whatever you are getting
for what you are doing

u r a sore in my eyes
a presence best gone
never have i found anyone
more a pain in the ass
than you are

mirror mirror on the wall
who is the idiot-est of them all?
i cant stand it anymore

supremely annoyed and irritated,

4bia

went to catch 4bia, a thai horror film over the wkend and it. was. scary. great. awesome. i haven been scared for a long time watching horror films, but this one takes the prize. it is real eerie and creepy. and this is coming from a person who doesnt scare easily watching horror, or maybe im just immune to guts and gore.

anyway, the main thing is, this features 4 short stories (horror of course) in one movie, which is all 100% supernatural. i think asian horror films are more scary than the western counterparts, cos the western ones…really, they suck. the only western horror film that left an impression on me and scared me was freddy krueger, nightmare on elm street. and that’s just. about. it.

not to mention those damn thai actresses are very pretty.

freaked,

the wedding

finally. it’s about time i post “the wedding photos” before they get too overdue and forgotten by everyone. on 13.07.08, a bright cheery sunday, shi an and sophia got married.

of course we had our fitting first before the wedding, so here u go:

a classic gown shot

pretty nails it might seem, but they were hazardous in every way. n i couldnt wait to get them off!

a crazy moment

bride & bridesmaid!

i have no idea what i was smiling at, neither does Q looks like she knows too

knackered at the end of the day

we had a rather traditional wedding complete with tea ceremony and dinner, so of course the games playing part couldnt be missed…let the pictures talk for themselves:

now, of course we had more normal photos too, so not to worry, everyone was also captured at their best moments (hahaha).

a walk to remember (?)

at shangri-la lobby

a exuberant groom

hahaha. a bunch of ki-siaos

now, wtf do u want us to do?!

everyone’s tickled

groom has to sing a song outside my room door…..forever love by alex wang lee hom ;)

putting on the veil

posey posey

with my fav people in the world – aunts and grandma

grandparents wishing us well

after that, we went to shangri-la hotel to take a break and prepare for the night’s events. the hotel was great. love the service and the bathtub. awesome. and tadah……wedding dinner:

at the solemnization table

a serious suave groom

now, isnt that train quite spectacular?

we had bubble blowing during the walk in from cute little champagne bottles

our dear emcees!

our unique guest”book”

gleeful

yum seng!

with the sisters!

till then!

we had a great time, and hopefully all our friends had it the same too. it was an occasion to be remembered and treasure as a wonderful memory in the years to come…

im planning to do up a wedding scrapbook, but have yet to find the time for it……cos it’s like a major arts n craft session dude!

COOL!

Scientists Say Invisibility Cloak Now Possible

Scientists say they are a step closer to developing materials that could render people and objects invisible.

Researchers have demonstrated for the first time they were able to cloak three-dimensional objects using artificially engineered materials that redirect light around the objects. Previously, they only have been able to cloak very thin two-dimensional objects.

The findings, by scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, led by Xiang Zhang, are to be released later this week in the journals Nature and Science.

The new work moves scientists a step closer to hiding people and objects from visible light, which could have broad applications, including military ones.

People can see objects because they scatter the light that strikes them, reflecting some of it back to the eye. Cloaking uses materials, known as metamaterials, to deflect radar, light or other waves around an object, like water flowing around a smooth rock in a stream.

Metamaterials are mixtures of metal and circuit board materials such as ceramic, Teflon or fiber composite. They are designed to bend visible light in a way that ordinary materials don’t. Scientists are trying to use them to bend light around objects so they don’t create reflections or shadows.

It differs from stealth technology, which does not make an aircraft invisible but reduces the cross-section available to radar, making it hard to track.

The research was funded in part by the U.S. Army Research Office and the National Science Foundation’s Nano-Scale Science and Engineering Center.

i ll b the first to buy!

ultimate beach resort

i announce, that Maldives is probably the BEST place to go for beach resorts. chanced across this resort in Maldives:

oh my god! so nice can!

“Cocoa Island’s 23-room hotel that features suites resembling local dhoni fishing boats that are anchored to the ocean floor with pine poles. Best feature? Steps in the back of each suite/boat lead right into the water. Located in the Maldives.”

So far, all the really breath-taking and gorgeous beach resorts i’ve ever seen are from Maldives or Mauritius. I so wanna go there. they are like the paradise of beach resorts.
